Thoughts:
There's an interesting thread on HAAJGroup. Topic was 'truth'. Truth, reality, perception, belief-system, value-system... one member suggested us this site: http://www.aynrand.org/ on Objectivism. What on earth is Objectivism? Havent had the time to read yet... but this'll be my next project. Well, that and packing the books...

In Focus:
It's that time when we celebrate borrowing again. This country is so deep in debt, we may never get out of it in our lifetime. Letting ourselves vulnerable and self-respect trampled... ('IMF to vote on last Indonesia loan tranche on Dec. 19: Minister', The Jakarta Post, December 11, 2003) "Indonesia has decided not to ask the IMF for a new agreement when its current $5 billion borrowing facility runs out at the end of this month, citing a return to economic stability. The economy is set to grow 4% this year, and foreign reserves stand around $33 billion.
The government called in the IMF at the onset of the 1997-1998 Asian financial crisis, when foreign capital fled the country.
Since then, Indonesia has borrowed $13 billion, of which it has already repaid $4 billion. The nation will begin repayments on the remaining $9 billion during 2004, as well as enter into what the IMF calls "postprogram monitoring" of the economy."

Updates:
Time flies... last time I post it was a few days before Eid. The GP guys came and they went. Dont know really where our position is. Eid was pretty quiet. Umi had a bad cough, N went to Medan on the third day leaving me by myself with Umi for a week. It's good. I wasnt in the mood for merriment anyway. Was a bit sad that Ramadhan is over though... Went to the crazy doctor on the 4th. Umi was a bit irritated, but he is very good. Her cough is almost gone now. N came back on the 3rd. Had a job cancellation at the last minute. Disappointing. Wrote a short article on the shelter for Jakarta Travellers yesterday. Still cant shake the bad habit of putting everything off until the last minute. Submitted a badly editted piece.
